Can MPEG-2 files be merged together reliably using Avisynth?
I just got an MPEG-2 capture card. I'd like to be able to join the MPEG-2 video segments together, do an IVTC with GreedyHMA, and maybe use temporal smoother before feeding it to VirtualDub to delete commercials.
Then I plan to send it to TMPGEnc to compress to MPEG-1 for playback on a somewhat slow computer at around 1950kbps. I'd use DivX, but at 640x480, the target computer is too slow.
