Doesnt work on my XP2600+ - because it requires SSE2. Thats with the VfW and DShow version under VDub and WMP. In MPC I get a weird error message that "For security purposes, this program will not run while system debuggers are active. Please remove or disable the system debugger before trying to run this program again."?!
Uninstalled.
At least the uninstaller worked properly, previously installed DV codecs work just fine :)

What was awful about it?
We have a lot of satisfied customers and have even developed custom versions for a number of software developers.
Can you share your experience with the software?
An earlier version did have an issue with any existing Video for Windows DV codecs but, since Version 1.6, this has been corrected.
We're particularly interested to understand if there are any compatibility issues that have not been reported to us.

That's the "wrapper" that controls the licensing so that you can trial the software and, if purchased, unlock it without having to download a different version.
MPC must be acting like a debugger. It's even possible that both programs use the same "wrapper". I'd be happy to contact the supplier of the "wrapper" software to find out if it is a known issue or not.
Both our program and the MPC software use third party tools that are designed to prevent reverse engineering, bypassing the licensing etc.

Does it work for those hi-definition DVs also?

No - it's for standard definition DV (PAL and NTSC).
By "hi-definition DV" do you mean HDV (which is an MPEG2 variant) or the "true" higher definition DV formats such as DVCPro50 and DVCPro100?
John.
