VCR Input? Philips SAA713x-question

Under the video capture filter, there is a checkbox for "VCR Input". The card is the tv@nywhere plus... anyone have any idea what that checkbox actually does?

I don't know, I am using a 7130 chip card with DeScaler and that software has other choices besides VCR. Might want to ask this question on their forum.

Probably tweaks some registers for tracking sync pulses to allow for sloppier timing and allowing more time for system identification (PAL/NTSC etc) since VCR syncs are usually all over the place.
