I used MeGUI to convert a DVD rip (Video_TS) to h.264 (MKV container).

I didnt encode the audio as I wanted to keep the AC3 audio in order for my AVR to decode the audio for me so I told MeGUI to use the included AC3 stream

The video quality is beautiful but I get no sound in any players.

Any ideas?

Could u post your .avs script?
Also, have u checked the properties of the MKV (like with MatroskaProp)?
If u plan not to touch the audio, then u can bypass the audio input in meGUI and just import the AC3 into the MKV later with mkvmerge.

Are you using the One-Click or Auto-encode functions? If not, did you remember to mux after encoding rather than just setting the x264 output to mkv?
