I just made an SVCD using DVD2SVCD with a full version of CCE, and i burned it using Daemon then Nero. Everything was successfull, but when i put it in my DVD drive it doesn't auto play. when i try openning it from windvd it only works if i select the actual movie file, not the drive. will this SVCD work on a standalone??

sorry but there is a reason. i posted in the DVD2SVCD section but got no reply so i put it in the general discussion thinking more people would see it. i'll never do it again.
anyone got any ideas????

... yes, they will very probably play fine in any modern standalone.
I was surprised as you are that no software DVD player will play my selfmade S-VCDs in disc mode but only in file mode, but they are working fine on four different DVD players ...

I'm just guessing here... is the mpg file in the mpegav dir? That's not specs compliant. WinDVD 2.2 and above will open SVCD made according to specs (I've tested it), so does the DVD station. But the autorun is a different thing.. maybe if you have the autorun manager (windvd3) running it might work.. same could possible go for xp where you can have autorun settings for all kinds of discs (though I've never burned any SVCD under XP).
