hi ho ;)
which is the best (best quality) way to reduce a divx from 2 cds to one?
sound quality cant be reduced, and of course i dont wanna cut parts out ;P

You have to recompress the movie with a smaller bitrate. But the quality will be pretty bad, much worse than if you'd do a 1CD rip in the first place. Personally I think it's not worth the effort just to save 1CD (especially if you already have the movie on 2CDs you would now need a 3rd one ;) )

hmmmm.. my goal was not to safe a cd but dont have to change the cd during watching ;)

buy the cheapest, working cd drive you can find and put it your machine, then use the playlist feature of your player, presuming it has one

If you don't want to get up from the couch in the middle of the movie to change the CD you can of course copy both CDs to your harddisk (this will take only a few minutes) and set the playlist up to play both files. Or maybe you already have 2 CD drives (e.g. DVD + Burner) then you can put 1 CD in each and again use a playlist (I think that's what UHT said, too). The only downside with this is that there is a little gap when the player changes from the first file to the second, which is longer when using 2 CD Drives than when having both files on the HD, but I think it's not too disturbing.

I think MDVDP can do that with the 2 drives automaticaly. Please correct me if i'm wrong...

...but only if you've actually created a MicroDVD (the native format of MDVDP with menus and all)
