Is this possible?

I have sonic encorder but it needs a wav file.

Once I convert mpa to ac3 and mux it back to mpeg to covert to vob will I still be in sync?

I'm sure there are tools that allow you to do this. However, you need to keep in mind every time you convert from one format to another you will lose quality. Sorry I couldn't help any more.
