DVD stops when I click on PLAY in menu.

Hi friends,
I got one DVD from my friend which is behaving weird to me.
First Menu srceen is coming well. When I click PLAY movie then its stopping. I tried by renaming BUP files IFO but no luck. But when I click on Chapters then it will display chapters and when I click on first chapter it will play the first chapter and then it will continue to end.
Any help to fix this? Thanks in advance.

I got one DVD from my friend ...It seems that you are tring to edit a DVD you do not own. Aside from the legalities, this is against forum rules. Please observe rule 6. :readrule:

No please. It is not the case. Just I am trying to save his orginal DVD by rebuilding the dvd. Anyhelp is appreciated

Hi vvkp.

Unfortunately, your condition does not change the point made by blutach: making copies of a DVD that is not of your property is not legal (in most countries, since it is infringing the copyrights) and it is against the rules of this forum.

What you can do is to convince your friend (or to assist him, if you like - I think this should be legal in most countries)... to learn a little bit about PgcEdit. Most probably some preprocessing in the title screwed up the DVD navigation.

PgcEdit have a very nice trace function, which is able to show you step by step what commands are played in the DVD. When you arrive at the point making the title stop, you can see what command is executed that lead to the issue you are reporting, and to change the command in order to solve the problem.

Please, your friend and you, spend some time to do some self teaching... I say again, most probably PgcEdit is the tool you need...
