Hi, I tried to play a movie in ts format using zoomplayer with elecard mpeg splitter and dscaler 5008 mpeg2 decoder, but the interlacing is still there (nothing changes if I try different settings). What I need is a filter that does IVTC on the fly (with telecide like quality) and eliminates the fifth duplicated frame resulting from the inverse telecine

Dscaler doesn't IVTC. It reads RFF tags and knows how to deinterlace from them. JohnAd mentioned that he's working on decomb-like IVTC algoritim in the future.

Use dscaler with it to deinterlace 1080i on the fly - it works really well.

speaking of interlaced 1080i

how can you tell if it's true interlaced of just telecined?

I would love to do an IVTC rather than TDeint

You will need the unofficial 1080i ivtc build of DSCALER, you can get it here.
