how can i insert an image into a mp3 file? that can be viewed in windows media player

The mp3 is an audio format, so I don't think it's possible to embed an image in it.. To get video + audio together you need a container.

It's possible to embed pictures with id3v2 tags. Check out mp3tag or GodFather to do that...

you can also do it through itunes, but there seem to be a number of ways to do it. art I add in one application cannot always be viewed by another....
