if you have installed lame mp3 ACM please right click on the my computer then click manage and a window will open and then go to Device Manager and then go to sound, video and game controllers and then right click on the audio codecs and click properties and then on the properties tab double click on (LAME ACM MP3 CODEC v.3.XX) and then click on (settings...) button, and then you will see lame mp3 adjustments.
all of the above goal was for showing lame settings
and my question is it that where can i use these settings or where does these adjustments can be used? does in Virtualdub Audio encoding or any other place?
thanks

Yes, in VirtualDub (and others softs than uses this kind of filters) audio compression appears like "Lame mp3"

my goal isn't encoding as lame mp3 but i want to where these settings can be used? the settings of lame has some special parameters that i haven't seen in lame encoding part in Virtualdub

for example you can set average bitrate from 8kbps up tp 224kbps
but in Virtualdub you won't see affect of it.

Sorry, I don't understand your first question.

Really I never see this settings window and only know your method to access. There are a important parameter, the stereo mode, by default Join-stereo, only for high bitrates (>= 192) and encoding a dpl mix is recommended to change to Stereo.

The others parameters aren't important. The Min-Max ABR seems control the list offered in VirtualDub (and similar), at least I have Min to 88, Max to 160 and and this values are the min-max ABR in the list for 48, 44.1 and 32 KHz.
