Just wondering, if there is any utility or means of analyzing the frame-type composition and quantizer distribution of x264 encodes i.e. something equivalent to the DivX DRFAnalyzer?

Found a utility that analyzes the log file:

It would be great if there is one that analyzes encoded video for retrospective analysis of archived material

Thanks ;)
Edit: Sorry for my ignorance, but it seems that StreamEye Tools only accepts elementary streams. All of my archived x264 videos were encoded via VirtualDubMod using the 'standalone' x264/AVC encoder for windows (i.e. not the FFDShow version) and with MP3 audio. I've tried making direct stream copies with the audio deleted but they are still not accepted by StreamEye. How is it possible to convert to an elementary H264 stream acceptable to this application? Thanks.

If you made those files with VDub, you talk about AVI files I guess.
You can extract streams from AVI with "avi2raw" or "YAMB".

Nope, it accept everything that it's ISO complaint, like MP4,MPEG2 TS and PS. At least the version that i'm using seems to suffer with PSP MP4, maybe the UUID at the beginning of the file is problematic for it....

I wonder why there is still ppl using AVI and VDUB with x264...
There are plenty of good tools and GUIs for x264 CLI out there...

In my case because I have several programs (work related) on my PC that run on Microsoft.Net 1.1 and the last time I tried installing Net2 (which MEGUI and the like require) strange things started happening e.g. PC closed down every 10 mins reporting a 'serious error'. Someday, I'll get to the bottom of it, but for now I'd prefer to avoid these problems. Plus, I've only just started tinkering (or rather re-tinkering) with x264 and although I'm getting pretty satisfying results and good quality metrics with my DV sources, I doubt that I would switch from XviD to x264 as my mainstay whilst I am unable to purchase a copy of the CoreAVC decoder (cant purchase it on-line from the middle east  ). Playback is just too jittery with the FFDShow decoder at the bitrates I've been testing. Actually the greater interest in MEGUI for me would be in its potential as the logical successor to AutoGK (R.I.P :( ) which, for now, still does a fine job with my deinterlaced 25fps and 50fps material.
BTW - are there commendable x264 GUI's out there that dont require Microsoft.Net?
