Hi all,
I've recently been trying to rip a DVD created on a standalone recorder to PC and have been having some problems. I'm ripping using DVD decypter with an Asus DRW-0804P. I'm not sure of the model the disc was recorded on, but it has this title LG_RC590M, so I'm pretty sure that indicates the make/model. I've also tried DVD shrink, and just copying the files, but I have the same problems.
The VOBs rip/copy fine, but when I try and play them back in various players it says they have a short length (around 15 secs), but if I seek within this time limit it will go beyond 15 seconds, if you get what I mean. The whole file is there, it just appears to have a short length. When I try and use the clip in a project with Nero, it says it only has a length of 15 seconds.
I've tried Demuxing with VobEdit to Cell Ids and then rejoining the clips, but the problem prevails. I've also tried another disc I have from a different recorder, and it has similar problems.
I guess in short my question is, can I simply strip the timing data from a vob file somehow?, or can I alternatively have it rebuilt with correct timing?
Sorry if this lacks specific detail, I'm hoping someone has a quick obvious answer, if they don't I can post more technical information.
Thanks for your help :thanks:
