I recently started ripping some DVDs to store on HDs so I could play them back with MCE, and it's great for the most part. The problem I have is mostly with the Futurama DVDs that I've ripped (I've used both Shrink and Decrypter) - there's a bunch of what looks like interlacing lines and some other problems with the video like ghosting and blurriness. I'm using the MCE DVD player, but have tried on other machines as well with PowerDVD. Could these problems be on the original disc or could it be something with my computer setups?

Most probably a "problem" with the original DVDs.
You have to apply IVTC on these to get progressive video.
Else you can put your monitor on 60Hz (or 100Hz if your DVD is PAL) and force Bob in your DVD player. This looks more than OK, believe me!

I output the video from my laptop, so I should change the refresh to 60Hz? (I output to LCD projector)
Edit: Found what Bob is - hopefully that will work.
Do you know much about MCE? Is the DVD player made by Cyberlink like PowerDVD? Is the TheaterTek player that much better (worth it)?
I'll see what I can do about changing to Bob and see if that makes a difference - THANKS!

Yes, you have to put the refresh rate on 60Hz to match the DVD framerate.
And sorry, I don't know much about MCE, but all DVD players should be alike, so you should find the Bob deinterlacing option :) (at least in PowerDVD and WinDVD they are available since ages)
