Hi there I am trying to upscale standard DVD`s on my HTPC to HD reslutions 720p so I can watch on my projector.
A few months back I had everything setup up perfect using denoise 3d + changing the resolution to 2x in FFDSHOW + lancoz 2
I Would stick a DVD in and it would play using theatertek, and ffdshow would upscale = perfect !
today I have done a new install of windows and had to re-install everything again.
Now my man problem is FFDSHOW doesnt seem to be running when I play a DVD ! the reason why I no it isnt running is that I have checked OSD in FFDSHOW settings and nothing comes up + the picture Quality is not as good. I have made sure in theatertek settings that my mian proccesor is FFDSHOW and disabled Nvidia pure video.
The crazy thing is which I cant figure out is that If I open theatertek and play a divx or xvid file from my PC hard drive the OSD info comes up with all the upscaling info etc, So FFDSHOW is working with these type of files but not with a DVD in my DVD-rom drive.
I have all so tried ripping the DVD to the hard drive to see if that makes a diffrence and it doesnt !.
The thing that is stressing me is I no FFDSHOW works with DVd`s from the rom drive as it did in the past but I just cant seem to get it working, hopefully its just a setting I need to do.
