That's because you are trying to play DivX 3 (or DivX ;-) 3.11 Alpha to be precise) which is not MPEG-4 (it is MS MPEG-4 V3 in case you are interested) and XviD refuses to decode it because it can only decode MPEG-4 content.
Your options are:
Install the DivX ;-) 3.11 Alpha codec from here (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html).
OR
Install and set ffdshow to decode DivX 3.
OR
Install the latest DivX 6.2.5 which should be down compatible with DivX 3 too.
I recommend option #2.

Because wasn't the goal of Xvid to decode Divx ? and now we find our that Divx is which decode Xvid video?

The goal of XviD, well a goal is to be able to decode MPEG-4. As said DivX 3 is not MPEG-4, so XviD can't handle it. It can handle DivX 4.x, 5.x and 6.x though since they are MPEG-4 compliant. Sure I guess XviD could be modified to handle MS MPEG-4, but libavcodec can already handle it, so I would suggest going with ffdshow as already suggested.

XviD never could decode 'DivX;-) 3.11 Alpha' (=MS MPEG 4 v3) or MS MPEG 4 v2, and it never will.
Omar A. Perez, don't confuse DivX;-) 3.11 Alpha with DivX and the DivX company. DivX;-) 3.11 was just a hacked version of a codec coming with Windows, that was named MS MPEG 4 v3, which removed some restraints of the original (allowing for AVI output instead of ASF only). This shabby codec was only worthwhile if used in conjunction with an encoding application called 'Nandub', courtesy of the famous Nando. Lateron the same hacker who renamed MS MPEG 4 to DivX;-) 3.11 (Geiji) was involved in a project called OpenDivX which aimed to produce a free, open-source MPEG 4 codec. But then he bought the rights to the name DivX,* and started a commercial venture (DivX.com) with one branch of OpenDivX' code. There was a lot of outrage from the community, some former OpenDivX developers started XviD.*
DivX.com brought you DivX 4, 5 and 6. (Note how they started their version-numbering with '4' instead of '1' in order to create the impression that this codec should be the legitimate successor to DivX;-) 3.11 Alpha.)
See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DivX
* DivX;-) 3.11 was a jibe against an attempt of the industry at that time to push a new single-use, self-destructing media format called 'DIVX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIVX)'.
* Which is a jibe against 'DivX'.
