problem with playback

i have a dvd here where playback seems to be a problem. it's an drama DVD in my local language with episodes broken down into several VTSes.

after the first episode in the DVD, it should play the 2nd episode. But the problem is that the DVD just suddenly stops.

can someone help in fixing it? thank you.

1) Is this an original, commercial, pressed DVD or a burned copy?

2) Have you tried playing it on several different players?

3) Have you tried cleaning the DVD?

it was bought from a shop when I was overseas. so i think it's original and it certainly looks like original.

tried 1 sony player and 2 dvd burners. I even made a dvd image.

3) Have you tried cleaning the DVD?


it's not the dvd.

I'm sure there is a way to fix it using pgcedit or ifoedit so any help is appreciated.
