iuVCR with Huffyuv problem

IuVCR seems to be much less prone to dropping frames than virtualdub but it doessn't connect to the huffyuv 2.1.1 codec!! (virtual dub does)
I can select the codec, but when I start capture it simply does not use the compression. I use win2000, but on a friends XP machine the problem does not exist.
has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem in Win2k & Win98. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for this. In the drop down box where you can select the compression codec in iuVCR it says [VfW] in front of HuffYUV, so I thought it maybe wouldn't work with wdm drivers and I installed the VfW-wdm wrapper but this didn't help. But at least Vdub and avi_io now work again (they definitely don't work with wdm drivers). But I really like the interface of iuVCR, so I would be glad if someone would come up with a solution for this, preferably to work with wdm drivers.

installed directx8.1 and the video capture update and...Bingo! - it now works!
