Hi all...
i have a very basic question, and would greatly appreciate if anyone could please answer it....
I have here a DivX avi file made out of a DVDRip of a TV Series.
I got also an mp3 track of the actors commentaries for the same pilot episode.
My question is: how do i make a selectable audio stream between these two audio track, like i do with subtitles??
Is it possible??
I want to be able to alternate between these two audio tracks while i watch the movie the same way i know i can alternate between two or more .srt subtitles files i put on the DVD.
Thanks!!!

It would probably be easier to return to your DVD source and re-encode a new file including the commentary. There are a few ways to add a commentary track to an already existing file, but it would increase the size of that file. In order to maintain the video file's size, the video would need to be re-encoded which would result in a very noticeable loss in quality. In some cases, depending on the container, mixing two types of audio can also result in a "helium affect" of one of them if the bitrates are different.

CWR03, thank you very much for your kind reply.
Unfortunatelly, i have no access to the original DVD to reencode a new DivX file.
All i have is the original file with eh normal episode audio and another file with the extra audio track, with commentaries, on mp3.
Is there a way to "use" this other audio track the same way i can alternate between .srt files, just clicking on subtitles on my remote control? can i have switchable audio tracks? what do i need to do?
If i need to reencode the DivX to add the other audio track, and that would make it possible to "alternate" between the 2 tracks on standalone DVD player playback, thats OK with me, and no problem if the file size gets bigger. Can u please tell me how to do that??

That being the case, unfortunately, we cannot help. See the Announcement at the top of the Newbies page and the Forum Rules for enlightenment on what we can and cannot issue support.
