I'm not sure if this is the right forum for specific software problems but here goes:

I have been trying to test the new Elecard Mobile Converter 2.0 Trial which supports High Profile and PAFF/MBAFF interlaced AVC encoding. The problem is I only seem to be able to select the MPEG-2 profiles in the main window although there are much more profiles listed in the settings window. The custom profile will also only work if I set it to MPEG-2. And there is no indication that this is a trial limitation.

You can see the problem in these screenshots:

Does AVC work for anyone?

Very odd. Could you make a screenshot similar to mine?

I tested it on a different machine now and it works! Now if only I had a clue how to fix it on my box. :(

OK, I think I've got it now. The Elecard Registrater program says this:

Now if I click the + symbol this is revealed:

I guess that says it all. Parts of the trial are already expired due to some older Elecard trial product I had installed sometime. Shame I can't test without buying now.

Is anyone using it for non-mobile applications? Is it any good? Which other products are out there that feature a GUI and interlaced AVC encoding?
