Hi,

dont know about these blue ray players, but seems to me it is to early to buy one, and no much movies on release.
and the price, uhuhuh? 30-50$?

recently I have been in a best buy in the USA (I am from europe), and watched "click" on the plasma,& retro projector. I guess it was Hdef, cuz the quality was good and colors were very bright.

even the retro projectors are better and better...
I was against retro projector due to their offset view which is very limited, but the one I watched are much better now than in the past.

for me, the best is the front projector(what I have actually), and in the futur I guess the best is blue ray with hig def front projector.

anyway, for now I am happy with the DVD system, and I think with the new Blueray coming out , DVD movies price will decrease.

any comments???

DVD movies price will decrease.

not really... VHS prices only went down when they were trying to get rid of stock. though they were (much) more expensive to produce.

most likely blu-ray/HD-DVD will come in at a price just a little above the "premium" price that we pay for DVDs now (like special editions, niche titles, superbits, etc). regular DVD prices will stay about the same, though it will get increasingly harder to get away with charging premium prices for them if there's HD stuff of the same titles. this means Disney (amoung others of course) will be in trouble if it continues to maintain such high prices on it's movies, though they've got the money to painlessly switch to HD anyway.
