Playing Movies

Hi there i am very new to copying onto dvd's. I copied a movie on to a blank dvd using sonic , (my dvd ) that is already installed on my pc. It plays fine on the pc but both my dvd players in my house do not even recognise the disk, just says disk unknown? I also tried copying with nero vision, this played on my dvd players but paused every 10 seconds or so for about 5 seconds? . My dvd burner is dual layer, can anyone help? and as i said i am very new so no high tech terms please ( LoL ).

thr disc is not recognized.
the matrix/encoder u used is not recognized.
ur player is too old and picky.

try on some other DVD playersr to see what is faulty.
