I downloaded a DAA file, now how do you open it?

Where did you download it, and what did the source indicate it was supposed to be?

It's PowerIso (http://www.poweriso.com/) image file. You can open/burn it with this software. It is shareware unfortunately so you won't be able to edit the image.
