VP3 New Video Codec ?!

Hmm.. Hey.. i'm not sure it's that new.. but i sure haven't seen anything about it.. so.. if u have already tryed it out.. Y don't u tell me what u thought about it .. and if it's to any use 4 us.. ?!
www.On2.com they got more then just one codec.. but VP3 is the only one that's free

and probably a few other times if you really go back in the history.. i have yet to try it though cause divx works just fine for me at the moment.

Hey.. thx.. i tryed to look 4 some old threads but didn't find any.. sorry the search is down.. anyway.. it's open source .. but i'm more in to the VP4 and the othere one TM2X.. but i can't seem to find it .. yet.. i'll get back to ya when i might have some more info

vp4 has been exclusively licensed to realnetworks.. so expect to see it in a future version of the realmedia encoder.. though they are known to use proprietary locked out formats which isn't quite what most people are looking for.. and unless you actually get to see the encoder I wouldn't believe any of the hype surrounding it.
