View Full Version : Suggestions for on the fly copying
Wow, been a long time since Ive posted...
Im looking for a on the fly (DVD drive to DVD writer) way (program) to backup my DVDs ( a few are looking a little worse for wear). As I have a dual layer burner, there is no need to shrink, etc, Just pure 1:1 copy.

dvd43 + nero or any dvd burning software with 1:1 copying option may work.

Since these are already backups they won't have CSS protection, so DVD43 or AnyDVD should not be needed. I think Nero can do this, at least with CDs it can. I don't know if DVD Decrypter can do on-the-fly recording.

@wmansir - I'm not sure they are already copies.
@DoW - My choice would be decrypt in ISO mode with DVD Decrypter and burn the ISO with ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com). Now, I know this is not OTF, but it will respect all layer break info, minimising the chance of an expensive coaster.
If any of the DVDs are ARccOS protected, you might like to consider using the PgcEdit plugin (see Kill ARccOS in my signature) as a ripping tool.
