Hi pals... me again
I am experiencing some problems with the sound coming from my sound card so I decided to post here the problem. I feel the sound is some miliseconds delayed from the actual action or playtime. I realise from the peak levels some players have. When the drum should play (according to graphics), the sound comes a little bit later. I think it might be a driver's issue so I wanted to update them but I can't cos the utility my Motherboard brought (it's an onboard soundcard) doesn't work any more (don't know why). Anyway, I'll give the details of my system to see if anyone can help me with the problem or tell me where I can get the latest drivers as i don't seem to find them anywhere....

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (Core Winchester) processor
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard
1GB RAM Kingston
VGA Card MSI NX 6600GT 128 MB (connected thru PCI-E)
Sound card onboard Realtek AC97 v5.10.00.5930 (Codec ALC850)

Thanxs... Any help will be appreciated

Does this occur only when playing certain types of media, or is it all the time, with any file, including a DVD?

Are you playing videos through an LCD TV and using the PC out for the sound to another source? Some LCD TV's introduce a slight video delay.

If your problem is only with files such as .AVI or .MKV created with tools available around this site, try ffdshow. It will allow you to set a delay.
