MULTIPLE A/V STREAMS IN .TS
Hi my name is Jeremy,
I’m writing in hope that someone can help me with my problem (well duh). The problem I have started with me thinking that my Dvico FusionHDTV software had recorded the channels EPG instead of the subchannel that I was watching whilst recording, as after demuxing with PVAStrumento (2.1.0.15) and opening the subsequent (and only detected in PVA) .MPV file in VirtualDubMod the EPG is what was displayed.
Frustrated at this as it had happened before (with no recognisable explanation) I further investigated and played the original .TP (.TS) file in the FusionHDTV player to discover it played back the subchannel (standard definition 576i) I wanted. I then noticed the massive size discrepancy between the sum of the .MPA and .MPV files to the original .TS file.
I then used the video editing within FusionHDTV and cut the stream, demuxed it with PVA then loaded it with VDubMod to discover that instead of the EPG now the 576P or (laughs) Hi-Definition subchannel was now displayed (also instead of .MPA the audio was now .AC3).
Now, I should be happy, I’ve got my program back right? Well not really as firstly using this method was massive double-handling and secondly I really don’t want to deal with decimating the 50fps stream down to 25fps because of audio desynchronisation on “standalone” players, however well it may work on a “software” player (it pisses my mates off getting a DVD they cant watch without smashing their telle).
So, in conclusion, the .TS file I have contains at least 3 video and 2 audio streams.
What I want to know is “is there any software available that can separate all of these streams?” so that I can use the .AC3 steam included in the HD subchannel but also use the .MPV stream included in the standard definition subchannel.
I’d really appreciate some help on this subject (as the homeless guy I pass on my way to work had only a blank expression followed by psychotic ranting to offer on the subject). If possible could I also be emailed @ gaspah@yahoo.com or MSN’d @ dead_emu@hotmail.com (between) 11.00am – 7.00pm AEST with any important developments.
Cheers
BTW - the checkbox 'record current subchannel only' isnt the answer im afteer as im aware of this and as im a figety person, i'll likely click this box again and again... but u dont get second chances when recording.
