I'm very new to this added to this I'm a senior Citizen so "please be kind"
I've sort of got my head round DVD Decrypter and am reasonably confident with DVD Shrink.
Problem is menus.
So the question is, how (if possible) are menus retained during a shrinking process?

Unless you enter "reauthor" mode, all menus and extras should remain intact.

I'm into reauthor mode.
I have dozens of VHS and Betamax tapes, many of which are prerecorded and some of which stretch into several tapes. My intention is to put them on DVD's (5) or (9) and an active menu would be useful.

Ahh,now i understand you,

You need an Full ON Authoring program, TMD or DVD-lab etc.etc

IMHO TMD is easiest out their to use (TMPGEnc DVD Author),but will cost you approx $90,good investment though,if you want to get into authoring.

http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda20.html, you can get a trial version.
http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/ , a more hands on approach

Thanks my friend.
Will have a look at these
I'll have a peek into the piggy bank if I find something interesting and user friendly.

Cheers

If you don't wanna spend $$$ and just want basic menus, try Titlewriter by FallenAngel.

After you have added your menus, you can substitute any still you want to jazz it up a bit.
