Seen as im in the uk am i meant to have under expert ' relaxed video pts checks ' ticked ??
Its usually an indicator of transport packets in the transmission being dropped or being corrupted due to interferrence. You'll see it on your STB as picture breakup etc. If you are getting a lot of those errors, your reception is poor.
PTS (http://www.chiariglione.org/MPEG/faq/mp2-sys/mp2-sys.htm#mp2-17)
17. What is a time stamp?
They are two types of time stamps:
* The first type is usually called a reference time stamp. This time stamp is the indication of time mentioned in the previous question. Reference time stamps are to be found in the PES syntax (ESCR), in the program syntax (SCR), and in the transport syntax (PCR).
* The second type of time stamp is called DTS (Decoding Time Stamp) or PTS (Presentation Time Stamp). They indicate the exact moment where a video frame or an audio frame has to be decoded or presented to the user respectively.

Na i dont get alot of these. When recording from BBC and BBC3 and the old program on C5 i dont get that alert message. Only had one picture break up on BBC but PVAStrumento said problem at ..... but there was no PTS jump error as fair as i recall.
The 2 Times ive recorded off ITV though i have had that PTS jump in video on and it also said Number of audio tracks has changed. Splitting. although the audio was still the same.
