Hi,
I installed the free version of DivX 6.25, and I use the latest build of VDM (2542).
Every time I choose the high definition profile, VDM crashes.
Is it a bug or is it me?

What specific CPU make/model do you have? A screenshot from CPU-Z would be fantastic.

I'll send you an FTP account by private message. If you can upload an AVI file that we can use to reproduce the crash that will make the problem much easier to find.

I got your PM, thank you.
But it seems like you misunderstood me. The problem isn't related to a specific video file. It happens even if there are no files opened in VDM. Like you open VDM, you go to Video/Compression, try to configure DivX 6.25, and when you change the profile to "High Definition", it shows a Visual C++ error window, and crashes after hitting OK.
Note that, after I enabled the DivX Pro Options, it doesn't crash anymore!

Same here(VDM 1.5.10.2 build 2540/release). ;)

Same here, VDM 2540 and VD 1.4.13 (Build 14328), Celestia 1.4.1 (capturing to AVI, it lets you choose a filename and set the encoder options before it starts to capture; the file with the selected name is created and 0 bytes long), DVDx 2.2 (setting encoder options for 1st pass), as well as an older GKnot (setting options for 1st pass; right before changing, the line is: "-bv1 780000 -vbv 4854000,3145728,2359296 -dir D:\Programme\DivX\DivX -b 1 -profile=3"
I didn't try the Pro thing. But one might think that this may be independent from VDubMod. ;)

Hi guys,
I managed to find a machine with this problem today. I'll let you know as soon as we have a new build ready to roll out (should be soon).
Thanks for all of the information provided!

Please try this beta patch (http://download.divx.com/labs/DivXcodec62534Beta.exe) (Build 34), and let me know how it goes :)
