I'm looking for guides/references on how film is put together (I-frames, B-frames, GOP, quantizers, frames, fields, etc.) I've read a lot here and at videohelp.com and how XviD works over the last year but I still can't see how it all fits together. I don't know how large B-frames are (pixels) or frames or fields, etc. I've experimented a lot and when I encode I'm still trying to envision the whole process and how it'll turn out. Anyone know of any references?
