View Full Version : Rip small DVD clips for NLE programs

A fast and easy guide to use small parts of a dvd to use in your editing program, I use it for adobe premiere to convert to avi (huffyuv) cause it doesn't like mepg2.

If using direct from disk you can install dvd43 (http://www.dvd43.com/) to bypass css then try DVDx (http://dvdx.sourceforge.net/)

You can load the dvd and output it in any form (also divx)

First install dvdx on your C drive then start the program and select :
File -> Open DVDroot or mpegfiles"vobs
Select your title:

@ the input click OK (set subs).
Move the slider to the start of your scene or use next (chapters)

Then set the output settings, you can choose your format video/audio size...

Then select the Max frame field and enter the number of frames you like.

Then choose your output name:
file -> select output file

And hit the red button.
Done
