Newbie Stoopid Help me Im an idiot

I have been fiddling arround with the new xmpeg 4.2 ... and everytime i set it up to convert i receive this silley error ... " cannot generate outpout file" this is very anoying ... i have no clue what to do from here .. please help this hapless hopless brain dead old fart ...

i had the same problem. i think the in one of the previous posts it was mentioned that there was a problem with the proper audio codec not being copied.

Get divx 3.11alpha (at doom9.org) and uninstall the 4.11 codec first.

Install 3.11 alpha and execute the run me first.

then install 4.11 over the 3.11 codec and overwrite the files. You should be able to encode properly.

someone also mentioned installing the Avireg file too. try that also.
