So this might not be the place to ask such a question, but I'm in the market for upgrading software and hardware.

The initial purchase will probably be a MacBookPro hooked up dual display (and firewire HD) for my video cutting/editing. But I have to make a major software choice. With OS X, the natural choice is to buy Final Cut Studio. But, with Apple's Boot Camp, I could get the Adobe Production Suite and run that in XP Pro Sp2. I am familiar with Premiere, but have never used Final Cut but am very interested in it. I'm not worried about learning curve, that part is easy. I'm wondering how much of Premiere can Final Cut do? Which program is more feature rich? What would you recommend that produces BETTER quality?

Thanks is advance!!

I would go with Final Cut Pro. It is native to OSX so compatibility won't be an issue. Premiere is often descriped as the pain in the *** software. You will often hear people next door scream in frustration as their project freezes and crashes, all data lost.

Stick with Final Cut Pro, it is the recommended choice amongst video editing professionals and newbies. Expensive, yes. Worth it, totally.

Just my 2 cents.
