Subtitle cut off ><

Ok i dont really know if this is in the right section but i got a problem with the subtitles showing up on my tv. Everytime i get video (usually anime) i have subtitles and when i burn them to dvd they dont show at the bottom. Most files are .avi and even though i resize to 720x480 the subtitles still get cut off at the bottom and on the sides aswell. Is there like a resolution i could put my video so that when i play it back on my tv (which is 4:3 aspect ratio) where they wont get cut off? Or maybe a way i could posibly add black bars or something like dvd rips so when i play it back i can see the whole picture?

If you are creating a separate subtitle(subpic) stream for your DVD, you could use "DVD SubEdit" to re-position the subtitles...

but the subtitles are mostly on .avi is there a way to take them off?

I would suggest that you use the same source to add subtitles to your DVD that you originally used to add them to your .Avis...
