Hi, I have 1 or 2 DivX ovies which I have come by via LAN/Ftp which have what starts of as a grey line at the bottom of the movie which stretches say a 10th of the way up. As the movie goes on this line interferes with the colours etc making the movies unwatchable.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this ? :(

Which codec are you using to play those movies back with?
make sure it's divx 3.11 not divx 4, or amgel potion.
hope that helped.

I tried GDivX v1.9.0 and WinMedia v8.00.00.4477

Those are movie players not codecs. Find out what codec you are using when playing back divx content.

I think grayline at the bottom has got something to do with the encoding, and not decoding.
I remember it occurred once when I made a divx using mpeg2avi. When I didn't downsize to a resolution that was devideable with 8, then grayline ocurred and colours were out of sync.

yeah it sounds to me like the problem isnt at your end, seems like whoever encoded the movie(s) didnt do a very good job of it
