Hi,
[ I *guess* this is a n00bie question ]
I use nandub to backup my dvds. From reading the
nandub forums i gather that there is some way to
use the test compression in GKnot to check that your
resize settings and bitrate are somewhere in the
right range to acheive the desired filesize...I'm
thinking this can only be a good thing, right :)
Anyhoo, I tried the GKnot test method, and the res settings
that GKnot came up with worked pretty well with
the final nandub avi. The bitrate was the one that
the nandub bitrate calculator gave me.
My question is then: Is the bitrate that GKnot
would have encoded at (had u gone on to encode
with it) around the same as what the nandum bitrate
calculator comes up with for all mpovies ?? And is
there a way to get the bitrate from GKnot so that you could just use that value for nandub in place of the calculator
bitrate - along with the res etc. settings from GKnot ??
Sorry to waffle on =)
