1. I have converted movie from widescreen to fullscreen video.
I have used program called CCS SP.
Original movie was 2GB big and now it is 4GB big and it is in SVCD format.

2. I have burned this movie as DATA with nero. I have also added subtitels in *.sub format. The movie plays fine but it cannot recognize subtitels. I have also tried with subtitels in *srt format.

I have burned many movies as DATA with nero but they are not in SVCD format. I can watch subtitels in this movies.

The problem must be in SVCD format. CCS SP has also created
one *.vaf file when i have converted movie to SVCD format.

HOW to watch subtitels with SVCD format movies?
I dont want permanent subtitles and i dont want to reencode video.

I have this problems only on my standalone DVD player.
I can watch movie in SVCD format with subtitels on my PC DVD-player.

First you have to find out, what subtitles are supported by your player.

The SVCD specs say Philips SVCD (0x70). But most of chinese players support CVD (0x00 - 0x03).

Then ripp the subtitles with Subrip to the right format and mux.

Create a compliant SVCD, not DATA!

Subrip extract subtitels from the movie. I dont want to do this. My movie doesnt have subtitels.
I have found subtitels for my language on the net and now i want to to watch them with my movie.

I have got this 2 files:
my movie.avi
my movie.sub (i can convert this format to any other subtitle format)

As i sad before i dont have any problems with watching the movie with subtitels on my pc. The problem is when i want to watch the movie with subtitels on tv.
