Got a little problem.....

I have sucessfully burned out the movie Cats & Dogs to cd's, running fine through PowerDVD on my PC but it seems a little jumpy when running on a standalone player. If playing is speeded up on the DVD then it improves slightly, however it still seems jumpy. Can anyone offer a possible solution??? I'm burning through Fireburner.

are you exceeding the bitrate of SVCD spec? Even if your not try re-encoding it at a lower bitrate. Perhaps your DVD players mpeg2 decoder is quite up to par.

I am unsure as to weather or not the bitrate is too high. Where would i find a setting for this and what value do you recommend to use?

you max bitrate...try something like 2200 for your Max. Bitrate....I SVCD spec max is 2723 although some go higher if their DVD players can handle decoding the higher bitrate.
