Divx upside down in some soft dvd players

Some of my rips play upside down in windvd and various other software dvd. Since installation on these apps, WMP is also doing the same thing. I remember that this may be a driect show filter problem but have not been able to find where I read this.

Any help would be appreciated...

yeah i had this problem too, for a while i used sasami2k and just told it to flip the files the other way round, for some reason it just stopped doing it after about 2weeks or so..

To add some more info on my specific problem, hopefully we can trace and solve this bug.

I am using WinXP Pro, WMP6.4 for avi's, WMP8? for everything else. Only SOME of my divx's play upside down, not all. I have not reloaded my software/drivers or anything yet, since I performed the upgrade to XP from W2K. I already had an issue causing explorer to crash occasionally before I upgraded. The upgrade did nothing to increase or decrease the frequency of this, so there are known issues with my system already, but the whole system still does not crash. I also found this problem last night on another XP box I built from scratch, though, so the issues should be unrelated, unless it has to do with my watching my files from the upgraded file server. Personally, I suspect it is a media player/ WinXP related issue.

Any further input to this thread will be appreciated. If I solve it myself first, I will be sure to post it, here, too.

I had this problem when I had the G400 filter installed (along with the Morgen Stream Switcher), my advice is uninstall them if you have them, and never ever use a codec pack...

I installed the 4.12 codec (I had been using 3.11 patched). The movies all come up right, now.
