Hi, I'm trying to rip my DVDs to my computer and have encountered an "Error Parsing IFO File" message everytime I select the IFO file from dvd decrypter.

Here's my system details:
Windows XP Home (build 2600 & service pack 2)
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0
Auto GK (currently 2.13b, but i've tried 2.27 to no avail as well)

The DVD decrypts fine (the log is posted below), I use main movie PGC and use the settings required (IFO mode, the options match the tutorial screenshots).

When I open up Auto GK, I point it to the VTS folder (I've tried eliminating the underscores in the name as that worked for someone else with this problem), or file in 2.27, and then I get the "error parsing IFO file message."

I've checked compatibility mode, it's off. My temp folder is C:\Temp, same drive Auto GK and DVD Decrypter are on.

I've tried this with 4 or 5 dvds (including The Recruit, Anchorman, The Italian Job, and a few others).

My DVD drive is HP DVD Writer 640c, I'm starting to think it might be to blame for a bad rip, but i've tried opening the IFO file with V_strip

Here's the DVD Decrypter log:

Since the decryption appears to have been successful, try just opening the .VOB fie instead.

Well, I tried it, hitting file mode and then pointing it to the .vob, but it just "blanks" and pretends nothing has happened.

thanks for the suggestion, though

Try decrypting in .IFO mode (set "File splitting" to None under the IFO mode tab under Settings), then open the resultant .VOB in AutoGK.

Yeah, that was how i did the recruit rip, IFO mode, no splitting

More than likely your AutoGK installation is corrupt. Try uninstalling/reinstalling it.

well, i tried it, but unfortunately that's not working either

Hi!

Can you PLAY the VOB from your hard drive?

well, i tried it, but unfortunately that's not working either
Do you mean that you uninstalled and reinstalled AutoGK and it made no difference in regards to your problem, or that you are unable to uninstall and reinstall it?
