This stuff with Divxauto and batch works fine, but have some little problem. When DVD2AVI starts I get lightblue preview window with noise. By pressing F7 movie appears.

Problem is when I left computer with activated 'turn off monitor' in Power settings, and video card turns off output after given period.

Second pass in that case will not start because I get error about some overlay problem. It is of course because of inactive videocard.

OK, I can turn off monitor, but it is not elegant solution.

Other thing: is it smart to set same bitrate for first and second pass ? I usually set 3 times more for first.

Turn off power management for your video card not your monitor.

Also, I believe that the bitrates for 1st and 2nd pass should not be more than 50% different.

You should still enable power management for your monitor. Just not for your video card.

That's probably what's screwing you up. I don't know how to change that. It may be through windows, or it may be through your bios setup screen.
