Hi,

I'm on the way to switch from Nero to PgcEdit/ImgBurn. Just burnt my first dvd successfully. Two questions left for the moment:

1. In Nero I burnt most of my videos as UDF compilations adding own data folders in addition to the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. How do I do that in PgcEdit? (BTW, I had to enable Xbox compatibility mode in Nero in order the discs to be recognized by my standalone Sony dvd player.)

2. When the image was written to HDD ImgBurn came up with an error message complaining of not getting exclusive access rights to the dvd drive. When I hit 'Ignore' ImgBurn started burning. Is there a setting to avoid this error message?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Just create additional folders or files in your root directory.
Pgcedit will ask you to burn it as well.

Thanks, that does it.

Problem 2 is gone, as well. Might be caused by firewall.

Maybe a program did not release properly its exclusive access to the drive, or there was another instance of ImgBurn still running. Anyway, you should not have this problem when your drive has not been accessed since the last reboot.

Still, I think it would be best if PgcEdit would start compiling the ISO without adding the additional folders when answering

"There is one DVD-ROM file (or subfolder) in the DVD root folder:

Are you sure you want to burn it as well?"

with NO. Right now it aborts the process.

Difficult. Mkisofs takes everything that is in the source folder to create the ISO. Therefore, to exclude the DVD-ROM files, I need to delete them, or move them to another location.
OK, I could move them in a temp folder during the creation of the ISO, and restore them later, but it's dangerous. In case of a crash, the files will be lost somewhere on your HDD.
IMO, it is best to open the source folder in explorer, and let the user do what he wants with the files.

Agreed, I just didn't know mkisofs was so picky ;)
