Video card memory compatibility

My ASUS K8N-E MoBo supports DDR PC3200. I'm looking to buy the ATI All in Wonder which boasts "and a 256-bit interface connects 256MB of GDDR3 RAM running at 1000 MHz (DDR)". My question is: Will my MoBo support this card?

Cards and boards are pretty much universally compatible (as long as one or the other isn't severely outdated or the slots aren't different type) - the RAM to which the video card ad refers is its own onboard and will not conflict with system RAM.

This is an AGP board. Is the AIW card AGP or PCI-E? If AGP, then you shouldn't have any problems. DDR3 on the graphics card should work fine with DDR main memory, no problem.

there are no link between GPU RAM and mobo RAM. All you need to know if is your mobo supports the voltage of your card.

This motherboard has an AGP 4x/8x slot. That means it will work with just about any AGP video card you can buy new these days.

As Sirber said, system memory and video card memory have nothing to do with one another.

Do you really need the All In Wonder?? I would reccommend going with a standard 3d video card without a tv tuner, and getting a seperate TV tuner. They tend to have better quality and drivers IMHO.

VIVO on my GeForce 7800gt (very recent card) is a total joke. You cannot live monitor the S-Video input without scads of lag. Totally worthless for connecting the playstation 2 to the computer.

My 7 year old WinTV card, however, works perfectly :)
