I finally found the last source code of AutoQ3. I searched hundreds of CD/DVDs for it. It took me 3 hours to find this bytes of code.
Well I should write something on my discs so I'll find it faster what I'm searching for.

So almost one year is over and I decided to release the code of AutoQ3 under gpl. Maybe someone develops this app further. CCE SP2 support for example ...

I'm now on linux and working now on AutoQLX.

pdrito reported me troubles using avi-files with AQ3. Download the latest nightly build to see if you get this error:
"Error: Renaming of the input-files in AVISynth scripts won't work on your machine! Report the bug."

It took me more than 5 hours of time for coding and testing to figure out, that it is NOT my fault why subtitles won't work for DVDPlanner. It is a bug in DVDPlanner and must be fixed by Zeul.
I'll support now adding subtitles for DVDPlanner 0.18, so be patient and wait till DPP 0.18 gets released.

Good. I changed the way I rename files in AQ3. Also AVS-Files should work for you now. I hope DVDPlanner 0.18 will be released soon, to fix the subtitle-bug.

hey. i downloaded the latest build 0.4.55.47 and i cant add files to batch. The button is not active. Any idea why this is happening?

I'm coding and try to learn C# form the scratch. Yes from the scratch as I did 2003 with Delphi. Here is my first progress:

I found my bug. It was again my mistake during the Dpp-creation. This is the fixed code:

Is it possible to use this tool by command line or batch mode, i.e, does it have a CLI support ?

if not, how can I make a prediction of q-factor in batch mode ?

This will come. You can use AutoQ2 for the moment. There the batch mode exists. I have to do the basics of the program first, then I'll add batch. Keep an eye on the nightly builds. Maybe you'll find the batch mode earlier than in a release.

I am anxious for a release with CLI support. The ideia is to use you tool within a conversion GUI in order to make CCE q-factor prediction giving a target file-size.

something like

autoq3.exe [input script] [desired dvd-file-size] [output q-factor prediction results]

would be just perfect, this is the tool that I was looking for

When I use OPV encoding, sometimes the file size exceeds the DVD standard size with a constant q-factor quality

Well, batchmode will come these days. I was in the swimmingpool on tuesday and I still have a bad sunburn. It hurts a little so it isn't easy to code.

Why you want to have CLI? Normaly AutoQ3 does all you need, except ripping the dvd.

You can load directly from a DVD-ISO and in the end you'll get a working DVD out of AutoQ3.

When I have time for it, I'll add CLI. BTW. the release of this morning was a Nigthly build ...

Edit: for a CLI CCE prediction tool you can write a friend of mine a PM. Darksoul71 coded an AutoIt.Tool doing that.

Edit2: last nigthly build adds 'Switch colors (E1 <> P)'-function to the DVDPlanner-menu. In some cases the colors are wrong, this should help. I'm on this problem.

i used the latest build of AutoQ3 and i have a problem. When i load my script it also loads the audio, even thought the script says no audio. I get this error, 'cu' is not a valid integer value. Here is my script:

So. The last Build 84 of AutoQ3 is full functional. I tested the two prediction modes in the batchmode. Also each as single run, to see if the rewritten source code still works. Good news: it works.

Please test this release and tell me what cosmetics I should do for the GUI.

since DVDPlanner makes troubles with some DVDs, I'll add muxman support to AutoQ3, so you can choose between these two DVDAuthoring programs.

i think i might have found a little bug, or mabey its just me. when i encode any video, the prediction and the full encode runs perfect, but when i close AQ3, open it again and add the same video, and keep the same settings the prediction always goes to 150 mb desired size even though i specified 400mb. Also i set the audio to 0 but it goes to 251. Here is my log file:

hey. this is just to let u know that the problem is gone. it seems like i had a .WAV file for the video i was encoding in the same folder and AQ3 would add it and get an error. just took out the WAVE file and everything worked good.

If the problem was the ECL-file, so I did ALL what I can do as a coder.

* I deleted the file before I create a new one with the same filename.
* I checked if the new file exists
* I checked if I have write rights for the file

If now the bug still occurs, I really don't know why.

I did some terrible mistakes in the last releases. Hope you still use AutoQ3.

If you have a loop in the new prediction mode, use the hidden Debug-Menu and enable the debugmode.
Save the Q-Value-List and post it here. Also your log will be good.

Using batch is very simple, load your avs file, adjust all the settings as you would normally, then instead of clicking start project, click the add to bath, which will enable the batch tab, and list all your files once your done adding all your files, hit the run batch, and just wait for it to be done.

Here is my setup
AMD X2 3800+ non-overclocked
1 gig of DDR2-667 ram
Windows XP SP2

codec: FFdshow-Tryouts-20061103-rev490-sse2
(I've tried XVID also)

I've tried loading in AVI and AVS into the program and all I get is an error saying that "memory cannot be read" and then it crashes...

I've also tried XVID as a YV12 decoder, but same result

I've tried the simplest of avs scripts
avisource ("e:\capture.avi",false)
lanczosresize(704,480)

also tried directshowsource.

Any ideas? I also tried AutoQ1.. woudn't work either similar problems..

If you need more info, please let me know..

Since I'm on Linux now I don't have a running WinXP atm. Maybe it is your AVI, maybe not. Load a DVD or MPG into my program and post me your result.

I finally found the last source code of AutoQ3. I searched hundreds of CD/DVDs for it. It took me 3 hours to find this bytes of code.
Well I should write something on my discs so I'll find it faster what I'm searching for.

So almost one year is over and I decided to release the code of AutoQ3 under gpl. Maybe someone develops this app further. CCE SP2 support for example ...

I'm now on linux and working now on AutoQLX.
