I just downloaded the new HC encoder release and put the HCenc_018.exe file in the folder with the other HC encoder EXE. In DVD-RB, I changed the path to the encoder to point to the new EXE, but it still launched 0.17. So I deleted the 0.17 HC EXE file and tried again. This time, DVD-RB says it can't find the encoder.

Do we need a new version of DVD-RB to support a new HC encoder release?

Did you rename it to HCbatch.exe?

I tried that, but it didn't work. I also downloaded the ZIP file again and extracted the EXE file again in case there was a problem the first time.

Hmm, I just dropped the new EXE in the folder created under the DVD-RB folder where the others were.

I wonder if putting it in a different folder would make a difference. Its actually busy doing something right now, so I'll have to try that later.

If you just drop it in the folder, you will have to rename it. If you go into SETUP and point to it, it really doesn't make a difference what name you use.

By default DVD-RB looks for HCBatch.exe.

It's working fine on my system.

Tried that and it didn't work. I went into setup and pointed it at the new file and I still got that error message.

I downloaded 1.09.3 though and copied the EXE files out of the ZIP, the two DVD-RB files and the HC encoder file, dropped them in place and now everything is working fine.
