Hi,

I hope my question is not too lame. I'm following a guide to convert PAL/NTSC dvd.

I first rip the dvd to HD, then use VOB blanker to convert to NTSC,
then I'm told to use ifoEdit.

The download page at afterdawn says that ifoEdit "does not work perfectly" with XP. (my operating system)

Any suggestions-I'm supposed to look at all the menus and subtitles in ifoedit and change to NTSC. Will it work enough to do this or is there something else I can use ?

Thanks.

I am not sure what version you are using but IFO edit v. 0.971 works perfectly for me in XP.

VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) is not a means to convert PAL to NTSC. Dunno what guide you're using, but it sounds sus.

IfoEdit (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/) works with myXP, too. If you are hoping to iuse te "patch method", it is problematic as it is not a true framerate conversion.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but the easiest way to play it is to get a multi function player. Some of them are quite cheap.
