DVD-RB does not recognize main movie

I am trying to back up Walk the Line. DVD Decrypter rips the entire disc just fine. The main movie is 6.8 GB. DVD-RB does not recognize the main movie VOB. It only recognizes the other VOB's if I select full back up. If I select movie only (which is what I want), it just recognizes the next largest VOB file which is 704MB.

DVD Shrink DOES recognize the main movie VOB in the folder created by DVD Decrypter. Why does DVD-RB not recognize the main movie?

File mode. Tried file splitting set to Auto and None.

Not missing. DVD Shrink backs up the disc just fine. I can even play the main movie VOB with Power DVD.

Why is that odd? That is exactly what is on the original disc. DVD Decrypter did not change the sizes of the files.

sorry..... wrong one.... One VOB file that big....the file splitting setting is wrong, DVD-RB output .VOB are mostly around 1,073,739,776 and for most VOB on any disc is around that big... well the largest they will be

Thanks a ton! I'll play around with the Decrypter settings and see what happens. I tried auto and none (which I did not think was the correct one).

NP, Try setting file splitting to "By File"..... that's the Default or... like I said try DVDFab Decrypter.... it will copy the new stuf that DVD Decrypter won't

Also there is no such thing as a VTS_01_MENU_1.VOB (or any of the others) file in a properly formatted DVD. Look at the original, and that is how it's supposed to look in the output -- no different.

If I were you, I'd remove DVD Decrypter and reinstall it so you can get the defaults back... your settings are hosed. I can only guess at how many other anomalies there are inside the files.

As jdobbs already mentioned replace MENU_1 with a 0 as it isn't dvd compliant otherwise.
In your case: VIDEO_TS_0.VOB, VTS_01_0.VOB, VTS_06_0.VOB
