Does "feature does not require reencoding" mean that in 3-click mode I can skip the Encode and go straight to Rebuild? If so, what happens in one-click mode when the "feature does not require reencoding"? Thanks.

it means that your source is already within the DVD5 limit and therefore no encoding is required.

You have to use the "Force encoding (for filters)" option in order to apply any avisynth filter to your source. (its a PRO ver feature only)

If you are making a movie-only encode you should just tell it to go ahead. It will recognize the fact that no encoding is needed an it will simple demux instead of reencode.

If it is a "Full Backup", it usually means you really don't need to run DVD Rebuilder because you could burn the source directly. Saying continue in that case still would work -- but the DVD will be demuxed and remuxed by DVD-RB. Occasionally a disc comes along in which removing some audio will make it small enough. In those cases just tell it to continue.

In other words -- it's always safe to say "do it anyway" -- but sometimes the process is unnecessary -- thus the warning.

Just to clarify. So if I'm making a "Movie and Menu Only" backup it is ok to skip the Encode and go straight to the Rebuild when the disc is "feature does not require reencoding"? Sorry if I'm being a little slow but I'm just trying to understand how this warning is handled in "One-Click" and "3-Click". Thanks.

You can never skip the encode. DVD-RB won't let you -- if you push the REBUILD button without ENCODE, the ENCODE phase will execute anyway. But if the disc will fit without encoding, the video will be unchanged from the original. It will just be copied from the original and inserted into the new.
