We are going to begin a series of DVB-H hardware tests using a pre 1.0 version of CorePlayer. These initial tests will be focused in on some hardware device running CE.

We will only take a 'few' testers that are regular D9 or CoreCodec members and actually have the time to do LOTS of testing on a daily basis.

Email me: dmarlin@corecodec.com and when the time is right I will email a reply. Thx everyone.

Hi Dan,

Are there many countries broadcasting (or testing) DVB-H (http://www.dvb.org/)?

Cheers

Germany will have DVB-H I think, dunno if they already started but they wanted to have it ready for Football World Cup 2006. South Korea has both DMB and DVB-H but DMB being way more popular as it seems. South Korea got anything anyways ... nice country as it's the playground for such things.

As seen US will use it too. Dunno what to expect from it and honestly I can shit on TV for super small screens ... however good luck with testing :p I bet it DVB-H will be as crap as anything on the market so far with mobile tv and trains at 100kph and more will have shitty reception with small devices ... even worse they will think they can make money with this ...

How much different is it from the current DVB broadcasts (DVB-T OTTMOH)? Does it require new(er) hardware? Or does the H represent not hardware, but high definition.
[edit]After actually READING the link that SMD posted, it's not hardware or high-def, but handheld.

I was under the impression that DVB-H hardware is gonna be available in this country in the next month or 2, according to PC Format...

Hi, do you have any testing sample video of DVB-H and T-DMB (TS stream, MPEG4 over MPEG2) for free downloading?

Thanks!

I should have been more specific is the 'region' that we will accept testers in. So for now... anyone in Germany, New York, New Jersey want to ping me can do so...

There were a few places in the UK testing DVB-H (Oxford in particular)... but I think they've concluded now :(
